Helpful tips to planning your debut as an image bank contributor and monetize your content.

     What to consider if you are starting on photo stock business when upload your first images to be accepted?
     Yes, to join prestiged stock images providers, you need to go through a initial valuation and the first step is selecting your photos to upload your best shots (if you make illustrations and vectors, same thing).
     Before I go on, I must say that I'm getting into this subject, believing that you already have at least one image agency in mind, but if you don't, in my next post I'll give you some tips.
     Anyway, research who leads the market, which agencies fit your profile as a contributor (don't think in a limited way that you should fit, after all it's your content, time and work that goes to your chosen ones).
     To make a good debut, it´s important select up to 5 different files that shows what kind of images you produce, some may ask less.

     In despite of the topic, look on your content what you have to offer in these previous files that the curators will see how you deal with: angles, composition, colors and photo lighting. Also research the acceptable resolution on the microstock bank you want to start working with.

     Maybe you are a only theme photographer, or even you like to shoot up to three or more different kinds of subjects.

     Take a look on what you have already produced or shoot something new with these points in mind.

     For designers, in addition to good content, prepare your designs in vector and jpg files.
     Some banks may request both files individually or zipped and to save you more headaches, I should tell you that even in different formats, the name of the files must be the same.
     But the good news is that there are already image banks accepting only vectors and in the future, it may be something recurring in this market.

     I have to say that i was refused in one of the many agencies that I work with my content, but I  didn't give up, I adapted to what it was needed and there I am, producing, being evaluated and focusing on good profits.
